Gerald of Anduze was a French prelate and bishop of Nîmes in the eleventh century.〔The antiquity of Marseille Church and the succession of its bishops, Henri François-Xavier de Belsunce Castelmoron-, Brebion, 1747.〕〔History of Nimes church, Alexandre Germain, (Debécourt, 1838).〕 Geraud was the son of Bernard Pelet, Lord of Anduze, and Ermengarde, his first wife. He belonged to one of the oldest families of Languedoc. His brother Fredol was bishop of Puy. Like his predecessor Frotaire, Geraud gave all his attention to the restoration of the monastic order.
